Greetings~

Hello!

Thank you for visiting my humble and amateur blog. I really wish I knew what to say. However, I do not. This is my first blog and I'm terribly new to it. But I will try my absolute best to get the hang of being a true blogger and provide content that will, hopefully, entertain you.

Besides that, I want to introduce myself.

My name is Jessica (or you may call me Jess). I am a moody Virgo who doesn't like cheese and wants to either be a hobbit or a vampire. I like to read fiction—mainly romance, but fantasy is a close second—and find new stories and characters to fall deeply in love with. I am a mood reader at heart, so I can never stick to a constrictive monthly TBR. My dream is to be an author and write "trashy" romance novels and fantasy where the dragons (and other mythical creatures or villains) are the love interest. I dislike toxic males—unless I am reading a dark romance or books on the darker side, then I will allow it to slide—and hate female characters who are not "empowering" or "strong" and simply put others down so they (or the author) can build themselves up as characters. Besides books, I also read manga and graphic novels, and fanfiction every so often. I am a Tim Burton fangirl and love all things spooky or kooky—Lily Munster is my spirit animal. I am an animal lover and own both dogs and a cat, however, I am more partial to cats than dogs. If I could, I would want to be a vampire so I can live forever and do all things I want to do and read all of my TBR shelves.

When I am not drowning in the American education system, or studying to be a dental hygienist so I can be my own sugar daddy, you can find me hiding from both the sun and people, reading sci-fi romance with big blue alien πŸ‘½ πŸ†, playing either LOZ: Breath of the Wild or Animal Crossing, or crying and obsessing over C-drama's I have invested my mortal time into.

Some of my favorite books are:

- Alice in Wonderland

- The Kane Chronicles (I would UNALIVE someone for Anubis, kay?)

- Percy Jackson and the Olympians & The Heros of Olympus

- Sorcery of Thorns

- Boyfriend Material

- Beach Read

- Ice Planet Barbarians series

Besides bookish content and reviews, I would like to include my love of C-dramas and anime into my blog, along with some writing adventures or tangents the future me might have. I hope this is something others can enjoy and will stick around for laughs and entertainment as I bash popular books and share some love to the underdogs.

Have a spooky day~

Jessica

“ A moment of discomfort is nothing compared to a lifetime of unhappiness. Knowing that it led me to you, I’d make that choice again and again. ” ― Ashley Bennett, Muscles & Monsters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5  🌢🌢🌢🌢/5  Werewolf romance is by far one of my favorite monster romance… concept/ideas? I don’t know what it’s called, lol. But! I do know that werewolves are hot and I would totally do one okay? I think after being obsessed with the Twilight films sparked it, and it’s just evolved throughout the years to now reading smutty books about these creatures who have some… ahem, special equipment …  Muscles & Monsters was fantastic, smutty, hot, and gave some plus size luvin I was CRAVING okay? Atlas was such a cutie, and I loved him and his overactive tail. I knew when I saw this book on Instagram I had to share with my best friend and we both were intrigued and that led to her purchasing them for us and let me tell you that this gave me the feels besides turning my ...

“ Demons and goddess shit should be left to the Chosen One. I was just the Tired One, so I’d leave it at that .”  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5  🌢🌢🌢/5  Cinnamon, my gorgeous, relatable goddess—I love you.  This book was so so good!! Fun is the word I would use to describe this book. From page one, the plot was moving and for the life of me, I couldn’t look away. I was enthralled with Cinnamon and Fallon, eagerly waiting for them to fall into the sticky mess called love. To tell the truth, I picked this novel up because I want to read a bunch of monster romances and spooky books during October, and this was on Prime Reading (and it’s on KU) and I said “why not,” and my expectations for this book wasn’t high. But YOU GUYS!!! My socks shot straight off!!! This blew me out of the water, and I loved every.single.moment.  First off, Fallon has long hair…… πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ˜ŒπŸ”₯ SECOND! He’s a hot demon who protects his girl with all his mighty demon-y self.  THIRDLY!!!!!! He was givi...

King of Battle and Blood is supposed to be an adult romance fantasy that features a vampire king conquering kingdoms and a warrior human princess. However, if I’m not mistaken—if these eyes didn’t deceive me—this was just pure, okay-ish smut. Now, I don't mind smut! Hell, I read monster romance, so smut doesn't bother me! But smut with main characters who are cringe-worthy and unlikeable does. Isolde doesn’t like vampires—she hates them. Yet, she marries one. Okay. But before you think she’s doing it for her people, she’s not really. Yes, she thinks of them in a few passages here and there, but the reason she agrees to Adrian’s terms is because she wants freedom for herself. Which I get, okay? But it isn’t the innocent lives of her people that convince her. Nope! Instead, it’s based on pure selfish reasons. She doesn’t think she has enough freedom as it is, even though her father has allowed her to train with weapons, and hasn’t forced her to marry yet (she’s 26 btw), she still...
